Advanced Certificate in Civil CADD
The Advanced Certificate course at CADD Centre Lanka allows you to have a basic + intermediate level learning in your respective field. All Advanced Certificate programs are a combination of 2 (or 3) certificate level programs that broaden your skill set in the chosen domain.
Since our courses are skill based, the basic minimum educational qualification to join an Advanced Certificate programme is A Level. However certain advanced tools might require a pre-requisite, kindly cross check with the program coordinator for course specific details.
This Advanced Certificate is offered to students to be qualified to use the software AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro and ETABS. All are offered as modules where upon completion, the complete certificate is awarded. AutoCAD module will teach the students to handle the software with the basic tools and they will learn how to plan and draft 2D drawings, which will then advance up to the 3D designs level. The Civil 3D module will teach and engage the students in the advanced 3D detailing of Civil Structures, analysing roadways, bridges etc. the subsequent documentation and report preparation. ETABS and STAAD.Pro are popular finite element Analysis software that will help the structural engineer design and analyze structures that are to be bult in the real world.
AutoCAD module will teach the students to handle the software with the basic tools and they will learn how to plan and draft 2D drawings, which will then advance up to the 3D designs level.
STAAD.Pro is one of the most widely-used software for developing and analysing the designs of various structures, such as petrochemical plants, tunnels, bridges etc. STAAD.Pro, the latest version, allows civil engineering individuals to analyse structural designs in terms of factors like force, load, displacements etc. STAAD.Pro training builds expertise in using the software at a professional level in domains, including construction companies, government agencies, architecture firms etc.
AutoCAD Civil 3D AutoDesk Civil 3D software is a civil engineering design and documentation solution that supports Building Information Modelling workflows. It is used for, drafting in 3D Space, documentation, analysis, defining workflows, surveying, and mapping of civil projects in the likes of corridor design, pressure pipe networks, gravity pipe networks, grading, parcel design, bridge modelling, geotechnical modelling, and rail track layout Analysis etc.
ETABS is a highly efficient Finite Element Analysis based analysis and design program developed especially for building systems. It is loaded with an integrated system with an ability to handle the largest and most complex building models and configurations. The software has powerful CAD-like drawing tools with a graphical and object-based interface. It increases the productivity of structural engineers. It saves a significant amount of time and money over the general-purpose programs.
This Advanced Certificate is offered to students to be qualified to use the software through Four pathways, which are:
Autodesk AutoCAD 2D & 3D + STAAD.Pro
Autodesk AutoCAD 2D & 3D + AutoCAD Civil 3D
